Situational awareness is becoming a lost art, due to the onset of so many hand held units.
We have Skywatch and Garmins group of hand held units and so many others that we spend our scan time looking at and punching keys while we are totally unaware of what's going on around us.
When the 9 volt in my noise canceling headset failed, I was reminded that the same thing can happen to all the other gadgets we use. Soo, keep those basic skills up to speed AND always keep spare batteries.

The March 2007 Gateway Chapter Meeting is the deadline to recruit new members to win a flight in the C-47 flown by Captain Bob Kraemer. Bob has agreed to extend the flight deadline until June 2007. You still have plenty of time to bring in new members and win
The flight. GOOD LUCK!!

The Chapter was selling TJ'S Pizzas for a fund raiser to get a power point projector.
It was also suggested that some of our members wished to donate $20.00 to help offset the balance. This will help pay for the projector quicker. We will pass the hat at the meeting for any donations.
Thank You very much for all your help.
