Yesterday, today and tomorrow. All of these apply to Col. Peter Field who will be our guest speaker on August 4. He was commissioned in the US Marine Corps and spent his first tour flying the A-4 aboard the USS Independence in the Mediterranean and later from Marine bases in Viet Nam (225 combat missions). After two squadron tours in the F-4, he returned to Patuxent River and assumed duties as a F/A 18 test pilot. His list of accomplishments in aviation are so long-best attend the meeting to hear this dynamic speaker. He checked out the Blue Angels when they started flying F/A 18s. Today at Boeing he contributed to the development of the Intelligent Damage Adaptive flight Control for the F/A 18, and recently completed a study contract for NASA on "Avionics Upgrades for the Shuttle Orbiter." And for tomorrow, he’s building a Lanceair.

The St. Louis Chapter of the MPA would like to help the less fortunate in our area as an on-going project. Americans are hungry and homeless all year long, not just at Christmas. Please bring canned good or personal items to the meeting to be donated to the Sister of Charity Food Pantry in Normandy. A collection box will be on the registration table for the items.
