Father Jim Sebesta from Parks College will be our guest speaker. Father Sebesta started working at a local FBO in upstate New York at age 14 to earn flying money and soloed on his 16th birthday. Since that day he has accumulated more than 13,000 hours, some of which were as a CFI as well as being a Captain for Frontier Flying Services, a commuter airline in Alaska. When he first went to Alaska he was able to get hold of a J-3 Cub while teaching kids from rural parts of Alaska. He learned to operate D-6 Catipiller and put in an airstrip on the school grounds in his spare time. He has seen quite a bit of Alaska from his old J-3 and the multi-engine commuter aircraft he flew. Not all of his flying was up North. He has also been the Chief Pilot for the Diocese of Nassau in the Bahamas where he provided transportation to the multiple island parishes. He currently teaches a number of courses at Parks College. So if you are interested in flying in Alaska or the Bahamas or have questions about Parks College be sure to join us. Social at 6PM, Dinner ($15) at 7PM, Speaker at 8PM. Reservations are required. Call Ron Hyken at 636 530-7651 before noon Monday, February 5th.

Don't miss this Fly-out, a good time to be had by all. Email Jaime Dant at jaime@borcim.wustl.edu or call him at (314) 352-3983 if you plan to join the group. We will meet at JetCorp at 1030 on Saturday Feb 10th for a short briefing and depart at 1100 for Galesburg Municipal Airport (GBG). From there we will drive to the Browning Mansion, a 19th century victorian home to partake in both home made and commercial chocolates. After reworking our weight and balance calculations, we will depart 1600 for SUS.
