Our January Meeting will be on Saturday,
January 10th for Lunch at Oliver's
which is located at St Louis Downtown Airport
AKA Parks Airport (CPS).
Superb dining with a great view of the runway!


Our private room opens up at Noon with lunch being served at 12:30. It will be a casual gathering with no guest speaker (Special announcements will be permitted). Those of you who have other commitments on our regular Wednesday evening meeting - this is your chance to come to a meeting! The cutoff for reservations will be January 5th. We would like to see everyone there so make your reservations now! Making your reservations early should be your New Year's Resolution for 2005. Please, please call Mark Weber before January 5th at 636-458-2529 or Email RSVP@MoPilots.US so that we can give an accurate count to Oliver's.

If you are flying to CPS be sure to tell the tower you are going to Oliver s so you can park close to the restaurant.

If driving take I-64 and cross the Poplar Street Bridge and stay in the right lane; Exit CAHOKIA, Route 3 South; Go to third stoplight (Queeny Avenue) and turn left; Turn right on Nickell (for a short half-a-block); Turn right on Falling Springs Road; Turn left at the Airport sign onto Curtiss Steinberg Road; Go over the railroad overpass.

Congratulations to William Duke, recipient of our first Annual Aviation Appreciation Award. The Aviation Appreciation Award will be awarded in December of each year to a member for outstanding service to our chapter.

Super Safety Seminar

This years Super Safety Seminar will include expert speakers discussing many of the issues all pilots should know about or be aware of in todays flying environment.

Topics will include SpaceShip One/Aerodynamics, Airport Operations (LAHSO), Collision Avoidance, Glass Cockpits, Complex and High Performance Aircraft and Weather Analysis & Decision Making.

Flight instructors attending to renew their authorization will have to attend a second day to fulfill the requirements of the FAA approved course of renewal instruction. The Super Safety Seminar is open to everybody interested in aviation.
