MAY 3rd

Jack Jackson has been our guest speaker on several occasions when he spoke of the mysteries of flying the Harrier. When you've flown the best jets in the U.S.A., where do you go next? Go to Russia, of course. For our May meeting, perennial favorite, Jack Jackson, Ace Boeing test pilot, will regale us with tales of his trip to Mother Russia, his experiences with the "Cobra" maneuver and his insights into a very different culture. Jack got to fly Russia's Yak-38 which is their version of the AV-8B Harrier which he flies at our airshows. He also flew their SU-27 - their version of the F-15. Come and enjoy the Videos, Photos and stories of Jack's trip.

Join us at the Greenbriar Country Club, 12665 Big Bend Boulevard. Social hour is 6:00 PM, dinner at 7:00 PM and Jack will give his presentation at 8:00 PM. DINNER RESERVATIONS MUST BE RECEIVED BY 12:00 NOON MAY 1. PLEASE CALL RON HYKEN 636-519-9721 OR BARBARA LANE 636-391-2668.

Our April speaker was to be Sgt. Hubert Looney but Hubert had an engine failure at Guatemala City when flying for Wings of Hope. Hubert is recovering nicely and we wish him well. We were fortunate that Dick Hrabko and John Bales of Spirit Airport stepped in for Hubert on short notice and gave us an update on the overlay of the south runway, the new golf course and the reopening of the FSS.
