Wednesday October 5th

Our scheduled speaker, Pete Sherwin, will not be able to make it.

We are very fortunate because Bill Florish, a member of Wings of Hope, will step in and talk to us about a delivery he made of a plane to South America. Bill is a retired Air Force pilot, retired banker, and now a Wings of Hope Pilot.

Our guest speaker will be Pete Sherwin. He is a retired TWA Pilot as well as having been a member of management. He will be speaking about the restoration of and flying the Lockheed Super Constellation "Star of America", which is based at KC's Downtown Airport and has been on display at the Spirit of St Louis Fair and AirShow in past years. It was not present this year due to a failure of engine number two which requires a major overhaul that will cost $120,000 to repair. And you thought your engine overhaul was expensive!

Pete's presentation is one you certainly will not want to miss. We'll be at the Greenbriar Country Club, 12665 Big Bend Boulevard. Social hour (cash bar) begins at 1800; dinner ($18.00) is at 1900 with the big event at 2000. Seating is limited so reservations are required. Please contact Mark Weber by email RSVP@MoPilots.US or phone 636-458-2529 no later than Monday October 3rd if you plan to attend.

{Have a present you don't know what to do with it? Bring it to the Meeting
and donate it to our 50/50. You'll get 3 free tickets for each item donated.}
