June 23 – 26 – Kansas City, MO– Lee’s Summit Municipal Airport (KLXT) The next USPA Flyout will be to Kansas City and includes a Wings Seminar, a hangar cookout hosted by the local EAA chapter and tours of the Steamboat Arabia, TWA and WWI Museums. If you are looking for an excuse to fly your plane, hang out with other pilots and enjoy some group rate discounts, join us in Kansas City. June 24 -June 25  Bryant, AR – Saline County Airport (KSUZ) Wings over Bryant Airshow. The Friday show will be an afternoon/night show.  Show begins at 6:30 pm.  Show time for Saturday will be 1:00.  The airport will close to transient aircraft one hour before showtime.  Lots of world-class Airshow acts including the AeroShell Team, Melissa Burns Edge 540, P-51 Acro in QuickSilver plus other Warbirds, Les Shockley’s twin jet powered firetruck, the Pitts Raptor, Provost Jet demo, Bulldogs Formation Team, Skydivers and more.  Admission is $20 and kids 12 and under are free.  Lots of vendors and a great kids area.

Our official Fly-Ins will start this month, on the third Saturday like usual, and will run through September. Barnstormers Restaurant does have their Barnstormers Breakfast on the third Saturday on January, February, and October, so they we still technically have “Fly-Ins” on those months on the same hours. Woodring’s July Fly-In & Spot Landing Contest breakfast will be Saturday, July 16th. As always Barnstormers will be serving their buffet breakfast from 7:30am to 10am, $9.99 a plate, $4.99 for kids 12 & under. Saturday, March 26 – North Little Rock – North Little Rock Municipal Airport (KORK) EAA Chapter 165 IS BACK after a solid year of building our new hangar.

Our very first breakfast in this beautiful new 60 x 80 hangar will be on the 4th Saturday in February which will be the 26th of Feb.  Breakfast will continue on the 4th Saturday of every month. We start serving at 8:00 and go until 10:00. If it is cold or hot, the hangar is well heated and air conditioned.  We plan on making this very first breakfast a real barn burner, well worth flying or driving to it.  We do plan on giving away a very small airplane that was donated to us but you must be present to win.

March 26 – RAZORBACK WING, COMMEMORATIVE AIR FORCE – SEE THE 1941 PT-22 RECRUIT “MISS CHERRIE”

In conjunction with the EAA Chapter 165 breakfast at North Little Rock Airport (KORK) from 0800 to 1000 on the fourth Saturday of each month, the Razorback Wing, Commemorative Air Force will be present displaying their 1941 Ryan PT-22 Recruit “Miss Cherrie” and available to meet with the public. We are recruiting pilots, mechanics, non pilots and youth 12 and older to join and help grow our team so that we can accomplish the CAF mission to EDUCATE, INSPIRE and HONOR here in Arkansas. The Razorback Wing CAF will also hold a monthly meeting from 1000 to 1100. April 23 – RAZORBACK WING, COMMEMORATIVE AIR FORCE – SEE THE 1941 PT-22 RECRUIT “MISS CHERRIE” COME RIDE IN A RARE WARBIRD THAT TRAINED PILOTS IN WWII In conjunction with the EAA Chapter 165 breakfast at North Little Rock Airport (KORK) from 0800 to 1000 on the fourth Saturday of each month, the Razorback Wing, Commemorative Air Force will be present displaying their 1941 Ryan PT-22 Recruit “Miss Cherrie” and available to meet with the public. We are recruiting pilots, mechanics, non pilots and youth 12 and older to join and help grow our team so that we can accomplish the CAF mission to EDUCATE, INSPIRE and HONOR here in Arkansas. The Razorback Wing CAF will also hold a monthly meeting from 1000 to 1100. Our very first breakfast in this beautiful new 60 x 80 hangar will be on the 4th Saturday in February which will be the 26th of Feb.  Breakfast will continue on the 4th Saturday of every month. We start serving at 8:00 and go until 10:00. If it is cold or hot, the hangar is well heated and air conditioned.  We plan on making this very first breakfast a real barn burner, well worth flying or driving to it.  We do plan on giving away a very small airplane that was donated to us but you must be present to win.

Saturday, March 26 – North Little Rock – North Little Rock Municipal Airport (KORK) EAA Chapter 165 IS BACK after a solid year of building our new hangar.

Our very first breakfast in this beautiful new 60 x 80 hangar will be on the 4th Saturday in February which will be the 26th of Feb.  Breakfast will continue on the 4th Saturday of every month. We start serving at 8:00 and go until 10:00. If it is cold or hot, the hangar is well heated and air conditioned.  We plan on making this very first breakfast a real barn burner, well worth flying or driving to it.  We do plan on giving away a very small airplane that was donated to us but you must be present to win.

DIRECTIONS :  The main entrance to NLR Airport is on Remount Road.  We have OUR OWN ENTRANCE, Gate #20, which is located about a city block south of the main airport entrance still on Remount Road.  Planes park in front of the hangar and cars in the parking lot behind the hangar.  We are located right at the beginning of runway 5.

Jim Inhofe and other officials as we celebrate the Ponca City Regional Airport Runway Dedication on Friday, July 9, 2021 at 10:00 am. Fly-in or drive, plan to arrive before 9:30 am, and let’s celebrate Oklahoma Aviation!

Aviation Industry Facts:

The Oklahoma Aviation and Aerospace Industry produces just under $44 billion in annual economic activity, making it the second largest economic engine in our state. Three segments account for this total: Military aviation, $19.3 billion; off-airport aviation and aerospace businesses, $13.9 billion; and commercial and general aviation airports, $10.6 billion.  Aviation & Aerospace supports 206,000 jobs totaling an $11.7 billion payroll. The average salary in the industry is $73,300, making it one of the highest average salaries in the state.


The Ponca City Airport (KPNC) is now open for fixed wing traffic (as well as rotorcraft).

There will NOT be a Ponca City Fly-In Breakfast on July 3.
